ICE-RETENTION TIPS FROM THE MANUFACTURER

To maximize the ice retention of your cooler, follow these tips:

• Layer your cooler: Surround food with ice to keep it below 40 degrees Fahrenheit (the FDA's recommended safe food temperature). Always top with a layer of ice for best results.
• Use plenty of ice: More ice means colder temperatures and longer-lasting ice.
• Keep the lid closed: Prevent hot air from getting in and cold air from escaping.
• Pre-chill food and drinks: The colder the contents, the longer they will last.
• Keep it in the shade: Direct sunlight and extreme heat can cause your cooler to heat up faster.

MOST EFFECTIVE ICE LAYOUTS: - Layer from bottom to top: Food-Ice-Food-Ice. Always make ice your top layer. - Freeze or pre-chill all food before placing it in the cooler. - Surround and top with ice.

This cooler is bear-resistant, certified by the IGBC, and strong enough to withstand a bear for up to an hour when locked.

It is a 65 Quart cooler with up to 8-day ice retention, exceeding most premium-priced coolers. The capped drain has an easy-to-drain spout that is compatible with a garden hose.

Made of heavy-duty materials such as polyethylene, urethane, polypropylene, and nylon rope handles, this cooler is built to last. Additional features include two rope handles with storm gray injection molded grips, four serviceable feet, two bottle openers, two holes for locks (locks not included), and two latches that secure the lid.
